Sunday Bloody Sunday (06/21/2009)

I first posted this on my personal journal on June 21, 2009.

The Guardian reports that people's hearts were disenchanted and crushed by the actions of yesterday, but watching this footage, I have to disagree.

Straight from BBC Persia is this little video. It's in Farsi...so I can't see where it says to embed it, so you just have to click on it to play it. It's totally worth it. The cops RUN!
Street Clashes, cops run

Feh, it's from Saturday.

This is from Saturday night. They using fireworks to set pictures of Ahmedjidad and Khamenei on fire... This is like the ultimate disrepect that can be done to the Supreme Leader...he's a holy figure to the Iranian people and they are burning his pictures in effigy.

HuffPo
10:54 AM ET -- Rage against the machine. An Iranian-American writes: "In my spare time, I make short documentaries and music videos, and my 22 year old cousin in Iran asked that I make a video for him with his favorite song. I just spoke with him and he told me that his friends and him are watching it before they go out to protest. He was stepping out the door to protest when I spoke with him just a few minutes ago. A lot of Iranians from Iran rely on huffingtonpost.com for their information. If you could somehow post this on your website and get this out to the youth in Iran, it would mean a lot."
